With the growth of technology distance doesn't seem to exist, therefore globalization is part of our lives, and with it comes the acceptance of individuals of different cultures and backgrounds. In librarianship freedom of information is somewhat very related to diversity, of accepting the different from us. Having an idea of the most important ethical theories or values from around the world will make information professionals culturally competent and with the current issues our society is facing this makes us invaluable to our communities.
